The Spanish Society of General Systems aims to bring together people with a desire to change the world in order to start a nonviolent revolution despite the link with past models.

PAST

The past, being deterministic, defines who we are as a species and takes into account our genetic makeup. The past has imprinted some Cosmological conceptions of the universe and has created religious myths and current “truths”.

PRESENT

The present is probabilistic and analyzes how we interact with the environment. Science and technology has allowed us to create new conceptions of the universe. Above all with advances in the understanding of the Theory of Relativity with Einstein and Quantum Theory.

FUTURE

The future plants the immediate necessity to create new models for the future, taking into account scientific and technological advancements that give us a new vision of the universe. Above all with advancements in the understanding of Quantum Physics, what is “real,” is not clear.

Practical Application for the Theory of General Systems

Ever since the System Dynamics and the multivariable model of the world (Forrester, 1970s) or the Problem Solving (Rusell Ackoff, 1970s), even the actual jobs of the Institute of San Fe about Complex Adaptive Systems (2000s), passing through the Viable System or P. Checkland’s Soft System Methodology (1078), the applications are incessant.
